CRUISING SLOOP |
|
This
project is for series production for a Brazilian yard. Cruising is the primordial
purpose, a racing version will be offered with more sail area, draft and
optimized VPP studies to make the boat a serious contender in any handicap
regatta. There is a deck layout free of genoas and runners, the boat must
be sailed close to it tops speeds with just two people. The rig is a swept
back spreader layout with jibs of 110% overlap and no runners. Construction
is hand lay-up using mat and E-glass fabrics consolidated with polyester
resin. A 3D integrated structural grid was designed to solve all the sailing
efforts and also solving the entire furniture landing. The keel is intended
to maximize stability, an iron fin with laminar lead bulb was chosen. A
fully carbon rudder is the choice for this boat and a lower self aligning
bearing will make steering a pleasure. The interior shows a 2.1 m. saloon,
integrated with the nave. station and galley area giving a spacious ambient.
Two separate cabins with big double berths were required with two toilets. |
